Elise Chassen is a Registered Dietitian and Exercise Physiologist. She holds a Masters of Science degree in Nutrition & Exercise Physiology from Columbia University. Prior to starting her own practice, her experience within the field included both clinical and non-clinical positions in a variety of settings. This includes hospitals, long-term care, adult day care, fitness centers, doctors' offices, and therapy practices. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Elise specializes in weight management in both adults and children. She also helps treat medical conditions where diet and exercise have been proven effective, such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, gastrointestinal disorders, and insulin resistance. Elise also works with athletes and eating disordered clients.
Other services that Elise provides are body composition analysis, nutrient & recipe analyses, supermarket tours, pantry makeovers, health fairs, seminars, corporate lunch & learns, and worksite wellness programs.
Clients are referred to Elise primarily from present & former clients, physicians, therapists, exercise physiologists and personal trainers.
