Elise's mission is to educate and empower clients to make lifelong behavior changes to help them reach their own health and weight goals forever. Her style is one that is motivating, realistic, achievable and always individualized to meet her clients’ specific needs. Elise firmly believes that a healthier body leads to a healthier, happier life.


Elise Chassen Sopov is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Exercise Physiologist. She holds a Master’s of Science degree in Nutrition & Exercise Physiology from Columbia University. She is also a Certified LEAP Therapist, specially trained to help people with food sensitivities. Elise is a freelance writer for a local magazine (BC The Mag), and has been quoted in other media outlets (such as 201 Magazine and Everydayhealth.com). Prior to starting her own practice, her experience within the field included both clinical and non-clinical positions in a variety of settings. This includes hospitals, long-term care, adult daycare, fitness centers, doctors’ offices, and therapy practices.

Elise specializes in weight management in both adults and children. She also helps treat medical conditions where diet and exercise have been proven effective, such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, gastrointestinal disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome, and insulin resistance. Elise also works with athletes and eating disordered clients.

Clients are referred to Elise primarily from present & former clients, physicians, therapists, exercise physiologists and personal trainers. Elise also participates in most health plans serving the NY & NJ area. Other services that Elise provides are Spectracell micronutrient testing, body composition analysis, nutrient & recipe analyses, supermarket tours, pantry makeovers, health fairs, seminars, and corporate wellness programs.
